For my 21st Birthday I decided to go to RA sushi in Tustin. I love this place for various reasons including their wide variety of delicious sushi and drinks but the ambiance in which the lighting and the interior design make it great. The most intriguing part of this restaurant is the deep red lamps hanging from the ceilings. The black string in which they hang from make it look like the lamps are floating. The red glass that covers the bulb make the whole restaurant glow. This glow makes me feel very intimate although the restaurant is very expansive. RA uses candle light on the two seater tables, I think that candle light is great for dining because of the natural color and warmth that it brings. It also allows the person who's siting across from you to see natural skin colors instead of incandescent lights. As you can see in this photograph their are regular lights built in but they are very dimmed which still allows one to see the menu and enjoy company. Overall I had a blast on my 21st and the mood that the light creates is warm and inviting.
