Like Zaynab, I too have Christmas lights hanging in my room. I absolutely love them. They create such a nice low glow throughout my entire room, while also creating lovely little individual star like lights along the wall. They definitely make me feel calm and quite content when I am winding down before going to bed. My lights, though, have started to turn black! This surprises me because light bulbs have been filled with inert gas since 1914 to prevent the tungsten atoms from creating a black deposit on the glass. Are these Christmas lights made differently from other incandescent light bulbs? Or perhaps their small size has something to do with this black deposit? Either way, I hope they do not end up burning out anytime soon because I really do love them!
