The Peacefulness of a Sunset

Sitting on the beach and watching the light from the sun float down until it disappears behind the ocean is one of the most peaceful things to me. The contrast in colors from the warm reds and yellows blending with the cooler blues and purples shows the different spectrum of colors light can make. The calming energy of a sunset as it gives just enough light not to overwhelm the eyes, mixed with the soft reflection it makes against the ocean creates a soft romantic atmosphere. I think this lighting environment is so peaceful because it is not too bright or too dim but creates the perfect amount of shadow and light so our eyes are not over-stimulated or overworked.
