This week, I have been up much later than I normally would
have been, and have had the chance to appreciate the faintly lit sky occurring
in the early hours of the morning. Each night it possessed a different tint
ranging from orange, coral, faded blue, and even grey (as pictured). It was
fascinating to note the changes in color from night to night. Usually I would
be sleeping through this picturesque scene; I just assumed the sky would be
completely dark, appearing black. This sky appears to be illuminated by the
accumulation of city lights throughout areas of Irvine, which allows for more color
to be seen, and less stars to be realized in the sky. I thought the backdrop of
faint light was gorgeous, and the illumination made me feel safe. Our day’s
natural progression of light is striking and breathtaking.
